Best of Taman Negara National Park and Langkawi
Combine One of Malaysia’s Oldest National Parks with a Beach Holiday | 12 days
More than 50 per cent of Malaysia’s land mass is still under forest cover, and there is an immense variety of flora, fauna and marine life to be enjoyed. The country contains one of the oldest rainforests in the region and several national parks to ensure long-term conservation of the rich biodiversity of plant, insect and animal life. These rainforests are a refuge for some of the world’s rarest plants and animals such as the Rafflesia, the world’s largest flower, and the smallest pygmy squirrel.
Taman Negara is Malaysia’s first National Park and is older than the Amazon forest. This vast rainforest provides a habitat for thousands of species of fauna and flora including exotic birds, elephants, rhinoceros and other tropical wildlife. Our itinerary combines Taman Negara with the island paradise of Langkawi where you will end your trip with a glorious few days relaxing on golden beaches with azure seas.
